Free Land Rover off-road (half) day
Just a heads up that Stratstone are offering a free half day off-road driving experience if you take 'a vehicle' in for valuation.
I just tried it, seems you also have to pretend that you want to buy a Land Rover, but they gave me the voucher without too much blagging after having
a look around my Audi and offering me a pittance for it.
No idea if the day will be worthwhile or just a quick splash about in a muddy field but as it's only going to cost me my diesel to drive to the
nearest centre (about 25 miles away) I figure it's worth a shot!

Ive been on one when we bought our Disco3.
Great day/3hrs....the 1st hour is them trying to sell you the car, talking through its best bits and includes a road test. The instructor then drives
off-road for a bit to show you what it can do and then you get to drive for about 2 hrs.
As i said great fun
p.s., these vouchers are selling on the Disco forum for £50ish each

Thanks! Sounds like it's worth sending the Mrs in to get one too either to use or to sell.

I wonder if I could get away with this.. I'm sure LR employees are not eligible.
I'd love to see the look on their face if I rocked up in my £300 Passat Shed TDi for a valuation.

Well I took an Audi in, clearly knew nothing about the Land Rover range or what I "wanted", and they still gave me the voucher.
To be fair, if you just get a junior salesman you could probably just level with him... "I just want the voucher, do you really want me to
pretend I'm going to buy a Land Rover?"
The guy I got was either stupid as hell or knew what I was after. I told him I'd picked up the flyer 'from the parts department',
and there was a bit of Range Rover and an invoice from said parts department on the front seat when he 'valued' the car.

So what did they offer on the Audi, Chris?

£14k. Not the worst offer considering they would probably send it straight off to auction, but lower than I'd part with it for.
