OT - New Windscreens for old cars ?

were can you get new windscreens from ?

one of my mates has smashed the windscreen of his BMW E21, its just held in with a rubber seel so its going to be DIY job to keep the costs down

An e21 isn't rare or old enough to warrant custom glass from Pilkington I don't think.

I'm pretty sure I've heard of people just ringing up Autoglass (or AA or similar) and asking them to buy the glass for 1970s-80's cars.

As above would have thought New ones still in supply, or alternative one from a breaker, just make sure its perfect as any chips and cracks will significantly increase chance of breaking it when fitting
