Ford duratec
Hi, and a happy new year to you all. I have a question which I'm hoping you can answer, I have a 2003 ford focus c max which needs an engine,
now I know it's a 1.8 duratec with the engine code csda , but I'm thinking that all duratec blocks of this year and capacity will be the
same regardless of engine code as I intend to use all ancillaries, injectors, head and all sensors from original motor, am I right in my assumption or
do I need to get a complete engine with the same code?
Thanks in advance, Richie

I understand that the only difference is inside, they alter the stroke to achieve the different capacities
Duratec Engine is fitted, MS2 Extra V3 is assembled and tested, engine running, car now built. IVA passed 26/02/2016

Thanks for the reply, would I be right in thinking then that any 1.8 duratec will be ok as long as I use my existing injectors and sensors etc?

I have some 1.8 components on my 2.0 so yes, my water, air temp and oil pressure aren't even Ford but I can program the megasquirt to suit.
As you are using the Ford ECU you should take the ones off your old engine and put on the replacement as you know they work.

Injectors are coded to the ECU so must be fitted in the same place with the same plugs
