Tin top advice
Slight problem started a couple of weeks ago.
An extra vibration from the engine. Its there all the way through the rev range and seems to judder at tick over.
It does it when in neutral or when driving. There is also extra engine noise, a low hum, sounds like the exhaust is blowing when on the move, when I
know it's not.
Also, the the windscreen demister doesn't blow air through the top dash vent, the fans and air con are working fine on all other settings.
These two problems seem to have started at the same time, don't know if they are linked or not.
The car is an Audi 2.0 T fsi.
Thanks
Brad.

First check the engine mounts and that the air filter trunking hasn't got pulled off.

Its an A4 avant s-line Quattro.
I would prefer it to be an engine mount, but I have been here before with other cars, bying new parts and still not fixing the problem.

What the best or easiest way to check engine mounts.
Brad.

I have had the vibration at idle on my Merc.
Turned out to be the clutch pulley on the alternator.
My pulley had locked so there was no freewheel, meaning that the serpentine belt would slip. telltale is the belt chirping on full lock.
