F1 Qualifying delayed
As per title really, F1 Qualifying has apparently been delayed until 11:00am Sunday Morning (Midnight our time as far as I can work out) due to rain
and failing light.
Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.

I though these were supposed to be the best drivers in the world?
They are. But endangering the lives of marshals so you can be entertained for 25 minutes would be ridiculous.
What all the armchair plebs don't realise is that overly wet races and qualy sessions are stopped for marshal safety. An F1 car can still do
200mph in the wet, what it can't do in the wet is stop as it loses all traction when it aquaplanes and those big things on it called wings
don't work when going backwards or sideways. Also in sodden conditions the cars skip across the gravel traps rather than dig in and slow down
and wet grass might as well be ice. Another point is that in conditions like those seen today cars often hit the same puddles and crash in the same
places (Massa, GVDG and Geutierez today) meaning they could hit a driver trying to escape from a crashed car or a marshal at the scene.
Expecting marshals who have volunteered to put themselves in harms way to clear stricken cars when another car could come flying in at 100mph and
easily kill them is not realistic. It has happened before, even Martin Brundle severely injured a marshal in an overly wet Japanese race were he
aquaplaned and hit marshals clearing another car.
So in summary. Stop bing such an utter bell end

F1 hasn't used TC since 2008 ( when it was banned) what you are hearing is the drivers leg doing the work, just as it should be in my view.
Which just goes to show how much I follow F1!
I prefer more 'down to earth' racing... not trying to be controversial - just my own preference.
No, I agree as well car racing should be just that, racing a car with just the skill of the driver keeping him on track, some of the current rules are
stupid, but for the mostpart it has in the last few years closed the grid up somewhat. I don't follow F1 in the same way I did back in the
80's or 90's but I always watch the first round just to see what the cars are like.
I also agree with Doctor Derick, whilst the likes of Stirling Moss would no doubt disagree, safety does have to come first, I watched the support
races before they started Qually, and even the tintops were struggling in the (at that time) very much drier conditions, but watching Lowdnes sideways
everywhere is always good fun.
This has no place on here!! But, I suppose it's typical.
How many years did you race? I did 22, 12 in clubs, 10 in single seat.
When I thought it was too wet for me in qualifying I didn't go out, and started from the back!!
It's not about you. It's about the safety of the people who volunteer their time so you can go racing. But I suppose it's typical...
People just can't see beyond their own nose and think everything is about them. Pathetic and selfish.
I race now, I also have marshalled and have worked for many race teams.
