Good roads in Wales.
Hopefully in a couple of months will be having a long weekend in North Wales the the tother half and the kit. I want to line up a route to take and
was wondering if there are any must do roads that I have to add to my itenary.
ETA, also any kit car friendly B&B's
Ta.

Llanberis Pass, outside of Scotland one of the best driving routes I ever did - Highly recommended.

My personal favourite:
Head north out of Bala in the A494
Turn left into A5
Turn right into B4501 (start of EVO Triangle)
Turn left into A453
Turn right onto A5
Turn left into A470 just before bets y coed
At junction with A487 turn left to stay on A470
Turn left onto A4212 (my favourite part)
Arrive back in Bala.

Horseshoe and A5 is full of coppers and speed vans because its full of tourists on bikes driving like nutters. I drive here a lot. I recommend coming
out of ruthin on the B5105 and thrash through the forest. Then after a few miles, as it almost joins the A5 go north on the B4501 and enjoy the lakes
and forest. At the T junction, chuck a left and go accross the moors on the A543. Once you're back on the A5, Travel back east to Bala, but turn
off right and thunder down the B4501, south. At the T junction, travel west on the A4212 towards ffestiniog, turning up the b4391. Then I take the
A470 up to Betws for lunch.
These are all driving roads where you can open up, not tourist routes. You wont get stuck behind a coach like on the llanberis pass or some moron
crawling around at 20 mph through the corners.
Edit: I've drawn a map in Google Maps

Was over that way yesterday
Wherever you go WATCH FOR POTHOLES
Even on the A5 between Oswestry and Shrewsbury there were some that i wouldn't want to hit in the dark.
I feel really sorry for any of the lads on bikes as you don't need police speed cameras when you've got roads deteriating like some of the
ones we saw yesterday....

The Minari Owners Association stayed here last summer, was an excellent hotel with a private car park, very reasonably priced and some excellent house
ale. Theres also a great local cider if thats your tipple.
Theres some excellent roads around there, the roads around lake vyrnwy aren't to be missed, they may be single track but they have excellent
visibility and almost no other cars.
