Tin top deoderants
My tin top has been sat unloved for a total of 5 years, with a year of use in the middle. Unfortunately at some point it got a bit damp and now it
smells musty. The year of use didn't clear it and neither has opening the windows for days on end when it was hot and sunny.
Does anyone have a good recommendation of deoderiser/antifungal etc I can put in like a bug killing bomb? I've tried a bottle of febreeze with
no long lasting improvement.

Have used the Wynns air con treatment at work which uses a liquid that's heated and vents into the heater intake with good results in a very
damp car. Probably similar to the Comma stuff

I forgot to ad make sure the scuttle plenum drains are clear, change the pollen filter and run the car with the heater set full hot and blower
off for twenty minutes.
You can also spray the seats with Fabreeze fabric spray.

Cheers all, will give those a look. Pollen filter BT? No chance of that, it's from 1991
I think the bulk of the smell is from the carpet near the door, it was when I left the O2 programming cable in through the door seal, I forgot about
it for a week and it rained, didn't get too damp but stayed a bit damp for a while.

i've always found that neutradol removes the smell, once the rank smell of neutradol goes away. neutradol gives me the boak... the dry one
too

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Every time I've seen this thread on the front page I've read it as:
"Top ten deoderants" and assumed it was going to be about a personal problem!

We did have a couple of days last year. Only a couple.

Neutradol - didn't think of that! We used to use that on the bits of carpet the cat had an accident on!

It is, no-one wants to get in the car with me!

Do you require the ball type or the aresole ? Neither it's for under my arms
I thought same as you James.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Ive had this on old leaky cars. I used a fabric cleaner (1001 or similar), then use a wet/dry vacuum cleaner to try and suck out as much damp I could.
Do it on nice hot day, so you may have to wait a few months. If it must be done sooner just keep the car running with the blowers on hot and on feet
and open the windows/sunroof to get some air flow and shift the moisture. You could also try using a hair dryer!

The car is actually dry itself, it's just the remnant smell from a few months it got a little damp, so it's not overpowering like a
scrapyard car I've hunted all over the bloody place fora fabric solution and eventually found some antimicrobial, anti fungal mist spray in a
pet shop (no neutradol anywhere!) which smells nice and I'll buy the one linked to above for the "whole car effect" - nuke it all at
once and see how it responds!
Ta all!
