I have just received one of these and have done some basic testing. These have very good right ups and are very good value for money.
This combined with a data logging phone app is what I will be using for the foreseeable future.

I have a gopro which I've used on the car and it works very well, only downside is the rather distorted fish eye image but it's extremely clear and the sound good

Also has the advantage of being rain and dust proof, plus if you crash into a lake or the sea and the car sinks 90ft down you day isn't totally ruined as the camera will be fine
