About the bell housings?
I can not post in the trader section, but perhaps you enlightened lot can help answer anyway.
I am going to show my ignorance here so please stick with me.
I have a standard type 9 going to a CVH, it will also fit on to a Pinto or a Zetec,
The starter is on the left hand side from the drivers position and the right hand side of the gearbox has the big slot/hole for the cable clutch
leaver.
Do you end up cutting away a section for the clutch lever on these, also they look to be wider then a standard bell housing due to the two starter
positions, am I correct on this thought as I could not fit one in the tunnel if any wider then the standard bell housing.

Not quite with you but i had to panel beat room for the lever as mark and i mount the engine as far back as we can look at some cars and the engine is
about under the nose cone worth doing if you are mounting the engine as far back as you can

I see there is a Sierra aluminium bell housing available from them, just more money, that is what I would need.

RS 2000 ally bellhousing used the RS2000 sump to provide clutch mounting point
Before I bought the RS2000 sump I fitted a small plate over the redundant starter hole, drilled a home in the plate for clutch cable to seat on and
away I went.
Plate needs to be at least 3mm or have a thick washer added to spread the load of the clutch actuation
I eat to survive

This is what I understand mine is, with whitworth threads to boot.

Mine is placed, from memory, with the gearbox/bellhousing split line inline with the end of the footwells.
