Car Transport
Next month I will need to move my Austin 7 from Maidstone down to Paignton in Devon but because it's an open car with no weather protection at
all I'm a bit concerned about using a company with an open trailer.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Also, last year I did get a good quote via Shipley from a someone whose username is "loadoffyourmind" but I can't find any contact
details. Has anyone used them and / or have any contact details?
John.

Covered trailer? My boss has a covered trailer I borrow sometimes, you can also get the racecar trailers you see at brands, etc

Would it fit in a van? I don't know how you'd secure it or load it, but if it did you might be able to rent one.

Why not just buy a good quality cover and strap it down VERY well?

Covers always flap around on open trailers, but are OK as long as you cover ther car with old blankets first to prevent any paint damage.

Very reliable & reasonable cost.
All the best,

From your post it looks like you want to pay a company to do the job?
If so try circuit2circuit. There very good at what they do.
if you want to do it yourself, I have a PRG tracsporter that I rent to a select few.

I would agree, covered trailer or just leave it open.
Never done the 'towels first, then cover' but certainly a cover alone, when on the move, can cause massive damage.
