Looking for a new addition to the Retropower team

Hi Folks,

the time has come where workload has exceeded manpower at Retropower, and I thought it may be worth enquiring to see if any suitable candidates lay within the ranks of the locostbuilders!

We are looking for a full time person (though would consider part time for the right person) who is capable of working in our "assembly shop" to a very high standard, and is capable of independently handling the sort of issues that arise when building a vehicle from scratch (very much like building a locost or "kit car".

The person would need to be able to work as part of a team, but also be self motivating and good at problem solving and designing and executing many small engineering solutions to daily problems such as: mounting a radiator appropriately, sketching up a suitable gearbox mounting so it can be fabricated, making tidy well executed brackets for engine bay components, appropriately routing fuel and brake lines.........you get the idea. If you are reading this, you probably know who we are and what we do and will appreciate the quality level worked to.

Some experience is clearly required, but much more would be gained "on the job" and the ability to maintain a high standard of work and learn fast is key.

The ideal candidate might have a self-built vehicle as a "rolling CV" as this seems to be more appropriate than a piece of paper. Probably somebody who currently works in an engineering environment or at least a hands-on role, who has been involved with cars for a number of years and preferably built one maybe for themselves.

Money will be discussed with potential candidates, but if its at the top of your priority list then this is probably not the job for you!

If you are interested, message me on here, we can then follow up with chat on the phone and/or a visit to see what we do

thanks

Nat

suspect you'd be better with someone else. if you ever need any IT sorting on the other hand just shout.
