Trailers and safe loading?
Is it possible to load a car on a trailer with bodywork hanging over the rear of the bed?
I'm looking at some lightweight trailers but my force is close to 14' long with massive front and rear wings.
The wheelbase is short and a 10' bed would mean if I pushed it on backwards the front wing would be hanging 6" behind the bed. But the
front wheels over 18" on the bed and the rear wheels tight to the front of the bed!

I'd be more worried about getting the nose weight right , get it wrong and it could be a case of the tail wagging the dog

Can't do any more than push it on backwards. The car only weighs 307kg wet and there's only 55kg at each front corner of the car. Almost
100kg a corner at the rear!

It's legal as long as the load is 'covered' by the markers lamps and/or rear lamps. Correct weight loading is a separate issue but I
guess you have that covered?!

When I was doing my lgv/pcv driver cpc training, you are allowed 1m of rear over hang, without the need for any marker boards etc, I would think it
would be the same for a car trailer.

It's only 6" of the carbon front wing which would overhang! Hopefully not too bad. Other than that it's a slightly larger trailer!

As long as you can see the lights and number plate it should be fine.
If you have to mount a trailer board to the car so its visible, do that...

Will the air moving backwards over the wings create enough lift to be an issue?

6" overhang would not bother me.
Loads of lorries have larger overhangs than that, look tippers etc.

The car will also be covered so none of the aero components will have an effect! Cheers

You can always make up a removable extended mounting frame for a light board - this is what the do on some boat traliers
