any A/C experts ?

I have a Hyundai I20,2009 approx 51,000 miles, last year there was a noise, sounded like a gearbox fault, took it back to the dealer as it was under warranty, they sain there was no oil in A/C and did a re-gas,all was well until last week when a similar noise started.
this time with A/C on it,s more constant like reverse not engaging on a gearbox, lasts a few seconds then goes quiet, also dont seem to be much in the way of cold air coming out....is it fubared ?,no sign of an oil leak from compo.

My wife's old focus did something similar.

Fault was something to do with fan that cooled AC matrix specifically was not running.

This was causing AC to boil up, blow out coolant and then run dry. Made a very weird droning noise then as the clutch kept cutting in and out on the compressor which had no gas going through it.

We replaced clutch and compressor only for it to happen again. Auto electrics guy found dodgy pin on ECU the should have driven fan but wasn't

2009 Hyundai you say?

May the 7 year warranty be with you!

Seriously, I'd just take it to a dealer and tell them it's making a noise again. They'll probably just re-gas, but after once or twice, might replace the compressor.

Doesn't sound right, could be a dodgy clutch or compressor bearing, but difficult to diagnose over the internet.

ETA: Just realised Hyundai don't do 7 year, it's only Kia? Ignore entire post above
