Makes perfect sense to me, take 2 of the crappiest cars ever made and join them together to make a big pile of steaming ( you get the idea)

If it ain't broken, fix it anyway (just because).

I like the Allegro, and thinks this one looks good. But come on, VW Beetle running gear is a massive step backwards.

I won't be buying it, but we've seen far worse and it does look very well executed

"Drives, handles and sounds like a Beetle---Looks like an Allegro"
Best of both then!
Nice work though

Not my sort of car, but come on a lot of work has gone into this project and well done to the guy for doing what looks like a nice job.

I agree fully, instead of going to all the trouble of fitting the floorpan?/running gear from a beetle why not do it right with Porsche running gear.
I would definitely want an Allegro wolf in sheeps clothing.

I quite like it for some reason; it certainly looks well done.
Stick a Subaru lump in the back and it'd certainly be exciting!

There seems to be a bit of nostalgia going on here, maybe there is a market for V8 allegros - now that would make a great combination with the
hydrogas suspension and terrible brakes :-0

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

Never like either the Beetle or the Allegro - a combination of the two sounds even worse!
I note they've used a Mexican Beetle. An friend and I traveled Mexico many years ago and hired a Beetle for a day. It was a naff car, but
being freshly built and living in a hot dry environment it was a least rust free. I'm guessing die hard Beetle fans try to avoid using Mexican
made newer parts for fear of diluting the original car too much?
