Anything with a V8 can can only be levels of good imo.
They are unusual enough not to see one on every street corner.
If I were in the muscle car market it would be the VX or a Mustang, the Fords build quality is crap though.
Get a test drive, you’ve nothing to loose just trying it.

Maybe consider either an E39 540 or E60 550 Beemer?
I've just taken delivery of a 08 E61 550i Touring and bloody loving it.
First BM I've owned and whilst it can never be as cheap as chips as the SAAB it's replacing the build quality is excellent.
BTW my local SAAB specialist just imported a SAAB 9-4X soft-roader from the States which has a V8 in it.
Never even knew they did one. Only trouble is it's a left hooker but cost him not a lot incl. import.
See here though most have probably been snapped up by now linky
Keep us posted.

No personal experience of the car and I'm not a Vx man myself (I know there are those that are though).
V8 car wise I think I'd probably be more in the Ford or Audi market myself. Granted the Audi's are more pricey, but I do like them.
There's a chap my way with an Audi RS4 Avant - the sound it makes burbling along the street is rather sweet
