In this video we reach an almost Project Binky / Bad Obsession Motorsport level of bracket obsession, just without the engineering and fabrication
skills that they have. I did get my welder repaired though and do some welding of brackets in this video too, so there is that...
In this weeks video I finish off the prep and get to painting the engine bay of the 1958 Ford Prefect 100e in Subaru Mica Red, and boy does it look
good! I wasn't sure this was the right thing to do, but in the end the result is exactly what I wanted.
In this video I pay a socially distanced visit to Steve Walford Motorsport to let Steve practice his aluminium TIG welding on a host of parts for the
1958 Ford Prefect Pinto Turbo project car. First up is chopping the end off the bargain AH Fabrications fuel tank and shortening it to fit in the boot
of the Prefect. Next is welding up the top rad hose that I made in a previous video, and last but not least, welding new fittings onto the charge
cooler radiator.
This video is a selection of lots, but not all, the little jobs that go into finishing off an engine installation. Things like making custom hoses,
custom hardlines, custom HT leads, all the stuff that makes the difference between an engine bay look good as well as be functional. Sure, the result
is still really busy, there is a lot going on in a small space, but I hope you will all agree, its looking sweet!
Sorry didnt post last weeks video, the forum was down when i came to do it and been a mad busy week! That does mean you get two videos this week
though! First up, I set the Prefect on fire, then in the second video I start fixing both the damage done by the fire and the cause of it!
What's this? Not one but TWO new videos from DuckSport? Thats right!
The main video is a more typical DuckSport video and gives updates on what I have been doing more recently.
The second video is a video I was working on before I ended up in hospital, and I felt wasn't going to work properly as a normal DuckSport video
now but figured some of you might still want to see what I had been up to, so here it is.
As always, thank you for watching and all of your support. I hope you have all had as good a holiday season as you could possibly have and that 2021
brings us all better fortunes!
