Very sad and a true British hero
Saw him whizzing around the NEC last year on a mobility scooter at the Classic car show in and out of the visitors

Met him at Shelsley Walsh a few years ago ....... was doing a walk round and signing session ..... spotted him right away- but had his hat pulled
down! Greeted him with "how are you Sir Stirling" ..... and he said keep it quiet please !! ,,,,,, as I want to have a walk round first,
before being swamped by the crowds ...... then took my programme off me and promptly signed it, then put his finger to his lips to say hush !!!
A real gentleman ..... truly RIP Sir Stirling Moss, one of our greats.

The very first car I saw on a track was Stirling's works Lister Jag leading the pack on the warm up lap before the sports car race at the 1958
British GP meeting at Silverstone. He went on to win - of course.
Now my last hero is gone. My boyhood is officially at an end.
Sir Stirling Moss, icon, sportsman, gentleman, all-time racing great. Requiescat In Pace
Michael.
