flat pack car?
I just found this article, published earlier this week,
flat pack marina...
I knew of the CKD (completely knock down) kits that triumph built, (they built the car then dismantled it for shipping to works abroad for
reassembly)
and that landrovers were designed for stacking.
I wonder if the shipping crates on these, were used for some of the body panels?

I think the reasoning behind it was VAT not being charged on cars not fully assembled.
Iirc there were a couple of manufacturers that offered cars without the rear axle (?) fitted so customer could do it.

Erm.... like this one perhaps?

Justin
Who is this super hero? Sarge? ...No.
Rosemary, the telephone operator? ...No.
Penry, the mild-mannered janitor? ...Could be!

Oddly enough I keep an eye on Mathewsons Auctions on Youtube, some very fine machinery coming through but they actually sold a Hustler recently?
