Locost engine monitoring
Anyone got any links to Wideband lambda or Exhaust gas temp monitoring kits? I dont mind if they are megasquirt style kits you solder up yourself

not long ago built one of there kits.
delivery a bit slow.
had a slight issue but delt with over there forum.
good quality and instructions.

Don't bother with the JAW, it's badly engineered crap to put it mildly. The guy that designed it didn't have much of a clue about
hardware design.
If you want a properly engineered system then Tech Edge is where my money would go.

That's with a sensor and a nice LCD display though. You don't need the display for logging purposes, and you can sometimes pick up the
sensors cheapish on eBay if you want something on a tight budget. However, if you are looking at the JAW system then you aren't looking at the
equivalent Tech Edge product. The 2Y is their offering for DIYers on a tight budget.
Innovate are ok, but there have been a significant number of heater driver failures with the LC1.
I helped out for a while on the JAW support forums (and by god were they busy!), and reverse engineered the design and I was staggered that anyone
ever got useful results from it. I've honestly seen better engineered GSCE projects. Just to give you a good feeling about support, the
designer buggered off and left the support forums for several months whilst he worked on some other project. It may be cheap, but you get exactly
what you pay for in this case.

I sent mine back and got a refund. The unit was Fked when it arrived so i got my £218 back.

I have an AEM wideband and gauge that I purchased from a member on here effectively new. It has been brilliant - very easy to set up and use and
output 5v straight to my Emerald ECU for adaptive mapping. It uses a Bosch sensor.

So far we have
SLC Diy - no internal logging, EGT and lambda sensing, display and output. £128 all in ($199) but reckoned to be poorly designed.
WBo2 2Y DIY Wideband Unit - £153 inc connectors and display and stuff (to make it comparable) on board logging capability with analogue inputs and
thermocouple inputs (could be used for EGT logging?)
Innovate lm-2 - £349 (£224) basic monitoring kit, no datalogging without optional cable and further expense.
AEM - $222 (£143) which includes a display and sensor. It has a data logger output.
On that basis the AEM seems the best budget choice, ahead of the LM-2, but the internal logging capability and extra inputs on the 27 tempt me.
Have I made any glaring omissions or errors and does anyone have any further suggestions?
