apparently ferrari pulled the covers of some old girls and shipped them around the world for filming.

The Ferrari advert...
I know the guy driving the older cars my dad works for the company that supplied most of the early cars and he works on them regularly.
Whenever I go to their workshop my jaw hits the floor.

I may be wrong but I think the Ferrari/Shell ad was out before the Honda one. I think I remember it being on TV a long time ago, sometime in the
90s.
Following a similar theme I think this is very well done:

You'll spot more clever bits everytime you watch it, the soundtrack aint quite as good though!

later car is listed as a 2007 model year. And I remember dad talking about filming being done recently, 1 to 2 years ago max.

Inspiration wise, it put me in mind of that french film of someone racing through paris film from a camera on the grille called 'Rendez
Vous'. Here it is.
Can't find a version without music dubbed over unfortunatly.
In a White Room, With Black Curtains, By the Station.

Must have been something along the same lines then. I did think the age of the last car would date it but did'nt go back for another look!

Both the Ferrari/Shell & the Honda (impossible dream) are great adverts.
It's very sad that a company such as Honda felt they had to pull out of F1 due to the economic crisis. They deserved a lot more credit than the
got for that championship winning car last year.
OK it was no longer Honda powered, but the design, and the fact that they supported Brawn financially to make it all possible seem to get overlooked
by almost everyone.
I look forward to their return at some point.
