The only thing that look interesting to me, was the ability to shunt all the power to the rear wheels.... RWD Mini could be quite cool.
Cheers

I first thought it was awful, but its growing on me. The point is its a small estate car with back doors so you can get the kids in. The 4WD system
isn't for off roading, and the people buying it no that.
I don't think it looks to bad either, I think it looks better than the Clubman and the basic on as the proportions are better.
I wouldn't buy one, If I wanted a car that sort of size I'd get an Astra, but I don't think its a bad car.
Do you think it would be as reviled if it was wearing VW badges (Or Nissan, or Chevy or Rover or.....)

Absolutely not, but thats the point - why call it a mini?! They could've just come up with a different look that would easily look better and
wouldnt repulse so many potential buyers who think it looks like a mutant mini. There is a niche for these cars, but its just daft that they've
done it to a mini. They based it on a mini to try to help sell it, not realising that being mini-derived is the main point against it!

I actually think the fact that its mini derived will be its biggest selling point to the target customer, Which I don't think is us.
It is a much better car than the clubman and I've seen loads of them (I have to say, alot outside primary schools). I've been in the back
of one and I wasn't a pleasant experience.
The Cayenne is the best selling Porsche and its simillarilly disgusting on the 'image front'.
I will conced that it would look better with a less mini front end, but that would make it less atractive to its target market.

Sorry but where do they get of calling a car the same size as my focus a Mini!?!
There's only one true Mini, anything else is just trying to cash in on nostalgia.
If disfunction is a function, then I must be some kind of genius.

^^^% just like there is only 1 lotus 7 ... yet this forum and others are all about recreating one
IMO the mini and audi TT are the only cars that stand out in the world of tin top sameness.
if BMW (?) can sell them, then why not?
next it'll be the mini camper van.
