OT: Water in diesel emmisions??
Good friend of mine has got a 207 1.4 HDI. Its been in a light front end hit (only just enough to crack the bumper) so it didnt touch any of the
cooling system.
However, its not beeing driven due to no bumper, and is waiting to go for paint.
Problem, it stuttered when starting this afternoon when I had a look at it. We also noticed a puddle of water at the exhaust, it started fine after?
Any idea's what it could be, or is it just from standing for a week or 2?

condensation built up in the exhaust system. once its warm it should be fine.
Anything With Tits or Wheels Will cost you MONEY!!

Burning fuel, gas and diesel, actually creates a lot of water too. I think you get somewhat more then a gallon of water for every gallon of fuel you
burn. While the exhaust system is cool, especially on a cool day, it's enough to cause water to run out the end...

It's the hydro in hydrocarbon, it means water and it becomes water again when burnt. When I was selling my old Mini one of the buyers said it
was the head gasket gone, funny enough the last three cars he'd looked at had all been the same  . I sometimes wonder if he ever bought a car.

well, hydro means hydrogen really, as hyrdocarbons and made of hydrogen and carbon, but yes, the hydrongen in the fuel and oxygen in the air join to
make water
