MIG Welding Gas
I am looking for a argoshield supplier, ie non rental as I dont use it that often, who can deliver at reasonable cost to Northumberland.
Better still local so I can collect.
BOC take the piss, as do Airproducts, I found one called Adams Gas who do a rent free 9 Litre bottle which sounds good, but costs £50 deposit on
bottle plus £28 delivery.
Thats a lot of Halfords mickey mouse bottles of Co2/Argon....
I have used straight Co2 in the past but find my welds better with the mix.
However pub gas is radically cheaper...

I've been trying to find a cheap supplier of gas in Northumberland but havent had much luck yet. However Spud69 from SSC has found a supplier
(near Cleveland), that has one of the very large bottles of mix for around £35 with no rent. If you can't find him on this forum, he regularly
posts on the Haynes Roadster forum.
I'm just using Co2 at the moment, but I'm wanting to change to Arg mix, however it means buying a new reg, so haven't bothered yet.

It's not though, probably only 2 small bottles from Halfords for £28, and maybe a few quid change if you are lucky?

I'm going to try a new supplier as I'm with BOC & it's a bit expensive, a local welding supplier in Carlisle has become an agent
for Dixon who are based over Newcastle way somewhere & Glasgow too. U2U me if you want some details for them.

When first started the chassis, dad brougt two sealey refillable bottles.
They ran out in 2008 and went to sealey agent who does not fill them.
Now buy bottles from Clarke but i dont feel they last that long at all.
