best sealant
Just fittes bike carbs and megajolt as an upgrade for twin 40's and GEMs ignition only, car starts fine but I have a petrol leak from one of the
carbs I believe its a bad gasket on one of the bowls, the car also revs highly at standstill so I think it probably dragging air in I plan to remove
the manifold and reseal. Question is whats the best sealant to use as Silicone isnt petrol friendly. I plan on sealing the inlet manifold straight to
the head as I cannot find a suitable gasket and reseal the bowl to the carb

It's similar in that it's non setting but I've always found HR to be crap TBH.

Good call, we used to use red Stag, complete with asbestos fibres and all the other goodies it contained on fuel line banjos on Nortons and it was
very effective.

Austin Man, I can sort you some industrial gasket paper for your inlet manifold, what carbs are you using, as I have a set of Kawasaki ZX7 ones for
spares somewhere, they might have the correct size gaskets for your fuel bowls, I can let you have a fuel bowl even, if they're the right size.
From memory the fuel bowl should have a rubber o'-ring seal.

Don't put the manifold on without a gasket unless both surfaces are perfect... and even then I wouldn't.
Get gasket paper and cut one. Then use just a smear of Blue Hylomar on it.
Don't use sealant on the float bowls as it'll end up in the jets sooner or later. Get a new seal.

cheers for the replies chaps ive had to resort to a bit of hermetite red type sealant for the float bowl Cheers for the offer Dazz may still end up
taking you up on it the carbs have a rubber seal but I seem to have stopped the leak for the moment. Hows the Midi coming along
