Best Quote of the Day

This has got to be from BBC CeeFax page 124, reference, the new Harrods owners parking the 2 blue cars outside Harrods and getting them clamped.
The Local council is quoted on the page as saying " This was a SERIOUS contravention of parking regulations."

Now are they refering to the fact that the cars were SERIOUSLY expensive (a new Lambo and a a new Keonigsberg), or were they refering to the fact that they were just parked where they shouldn't have been.

The mind booggles (SERIOUSLY)

And for those without CeeFax heres the web page Linky

Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.

And they managed to save themselves a serious amount of money by paying the fines early.

could have just given them a bar of soap out of the store, that would have covered the costs and then some probably!

see if one of those clamps damaged the bodywork or anything...

there seems to be something askew with their thinking.

You would poo your pants trying to get an iron boot on a koenigsegg with a price tag of over £1m and one of only six in the world!!

I wonder if their liability insurance covers them for that kind of risk? hmmmmmm......

Personally I think it's a non story. The headline should read

"Person with million pound car that drinks petrol like it's going out of fashion and who owns most of the world not phased by £75 cost of parking outside Harrods"

Read the article. It eludes to being parked in a permit holders (residents) bay.

serves them right in my opinion, the clamp probably upset the owners more then the fine. Luckily for them fines are not tied to income like in Finland:

Nokia CEO fined 103.000$ for doing 46 in zone 30 linky
