For some reason when I read the title I saw the word 'defecated' 
It'll certainly be interesting to see how he stacks up against Jason 'bumper car' Plato and Tiff.

I thought "The Stig " as a character would belong to the BBC. Not that i know anything about law and stuff. Just imagined he would have
been dreamed up by Top Gear for their use. And are they to have a new stig on Top Gear?? That is the question

Methinks the journo has used the term 'The Stig' loosely for the purposes of letting the masses know who Ben Collins is (sorry, was!).
He won't be appearing as 'The Stig' on Fifth Gear... just as himself. Frankly - I'm underwhelmed!

i read it as, ben collins (who was the stig) has gone to channel 5, but the stig hasn't necessarily. 'the stig' will still belong to
top gear
thing is, we knew it was him when hammond crashed that jet car years ago...

You can see why he would want some recognition for being Ben Collins and what Ben Collins can do....... but 5th Gear ........ VBH who borrows
peoples cars and usually crashes them, Jason 'it's not fair because I'm not winning without having to try' Plato, some random
fat bloke with a beard, and Tiff whatshisname who is just a slightly more talented/camper Jeremy Clarkeson..........
