Collect new toy on Saturday
Bought a brand new Astra VXR just over 2 years ago and it has been a great car but having just got a nearly new Seat Leon FR TDi for the girlfriend
with the BTCC kit on, i haven't really been using mine much. As i have a little van to run about in as well as the Indy i decided the Astra was
a bit too sensible so it went last weekend. Travelling down to Harlow on Saturday to pick up
this.............Old Datsun
Went down to see it last Saturday and it is absolutely mad, comes with a hub dynopak print at 544bhp which allowing for 22% transmission losses being
4wd equates to about 690bhp at the flywheel. Rang the guys up who built the engine and have arranged to take it there in the spring to have steel
rods put in it so that in his words "we can release it's full potential"

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Hehe, already got all the 99 octane fuel stations programmed in the sat-nav. Insurance isn't too bad, £590 fully comp for 4000 miles with all
mods and power output declared. Thats with full protected NCD and 3 points for an SP10 3 years ago.
Not a bank robber just a humble builder that works hard, made a couple of good investments that enabled me to pay off my mortgage at a relatively
early age which helps a lot. Wanted a nice Skyline for a number of years and now is just the right time, will be more expensive to run than the Astra
but gets me away from the depreciation factor of newer cars. Got an amazing deal on the Astra which persuaded me to buy and have got out of it without
losing too much but prefer old school more raw feel of older stuff, have a mint Mk1 Uno Turbo which is my pride and joy,

Yeah the uno's are getting really rare now especially mint ones. Will never sell mine, its currently running 150 bhp but i want to build a
proper forged engine for it next year and aiming for 220 bhp. It should be fun as they are so light it feels almost as mad as the Skyline even in its
current state! Got one or two pics in my archive.
