Any decent single seater build threads?

Specifically homebuilds showing details of chassis construction, design rationale, component choice etc as opposed to a big box of bits and a shiney finished car

Cheers

Proper single seater, hillclimb cars and so one. Stuff like allan Staniforths Terrapin through to more modern monocoques in alloy (sheet or honeycomb) and GRP and anything from v8s to bike engines, just enjoy reading

I've got a copy of the Tony Pashley - How to build motorcycle engined race cars which is very good though not a build blog per-say.

It covers ally honeycomb monocoque construction very well which is why I got it.

projects section on Uphillracers.com and also worth having a look at the chassis and hillclimb sections on Ten-tenths

pashley book is very good for real world car builds, as is anything by the late, great Stannifoth

I have staniforths source book which is excellent. I'm not considering building anything in the near future, but curious what others have done, the thoughts behind it and the means by which it was achieved. will have a look at the forums you suggest

That formula student one is pretty good. Though the chassis in unnecessarily complicated in my eyes.

Brunel uni have a few pictures of their chassis build from a couple of years ago that has some good ones of the monocoque construction and testing > http://www.brunelracing.co.uk/gallery/folder.php?folder=12&photo=251

Theres a couple of other websites that I can't recall now. Will have a look when I get home.
