top gear - I'll start then

When I was young and small I always looked at the Lambo Countach posters in Athena, there was the Porsche 959, hell I even liked the Triumph Dolomite my uncle had.

thought as I grew up that wonder would leave - sure enough it did,

until I got to Goodwood Festival of Speed - not sure what year but there was the Zonda - only an early one, underpowered really compared to now and no on show carbon or vents or anything else......

So then I'm young again

for that pagani got to be thanks.......

BTW - some beers may have been consumed prior and during this post.

I switched over half way through. Same old crap, same old stupid challenges where they buy cars that they have rigged, same old stupid voice from hammond. Really not worth watching any more.

had me laughing all the way through, ok so there are bits where it wearing thin, but it's a bit like the favourite teddybear, it is still loved even when the fur has rubbed off, and one of the eyes is missing.

The only TV I watch is Sunday night at 20:00,...

I'm very fortunate. If there's somethin on the telly I don't want to watch, I have a button which makes it go away. I did think it was a bit lame but still better than most other crap on the TV and I got a chance to warm up after staring at a Peugeot V6 wiring loom in the garage. <<Hammond voice on>>For two days.......<</Hammond voice off>>

It's a comedy show with nice cars in it - what's not to like?

I thought the used car bit this week was very intresting and made a good point (Even if the results were in age and price order).

My thoughts exactly. Plenty of serious motoring shows on if that's what you prefer - especially on Discovery Turbo - but Top Gear should be considered an entertainment show that happens to have cars in it, something totally different.

I genuinely look forward to Sunday night to watch it, even though it's the same old jokes and the same old 'three men larking around' challenges it does keep me entertained for an hour, which is what it's supposed to do. Even the Mrs will watch it with me, but try getting her to sit though even half an hour of a serious motoring show... not a chance!

Chris
