Cobra Parkmaster reversing sensors
Just got a new family car, Kia Sedona, fitted with a Cobra A0158 Parkmaster reversing sensor kit, Now, due to the shitty fitting, when I removed the
bumper to fit the towbar, the cables had bee (a) fitted incorrectly and (b) zip-tied so short to the metal bumper bar which stays on the car as
the bumper itself come soff, that the wires snapped off one sensor. £30 later (yes, thirty bloody quid!!) I've bought and fitted a new sensor
and obtained a set of fitting instructions. However, there is no setup info in there and the fitting instructions claim the 'registered
installer' has to do this.
Has anyone any experience with this particular kit? Is the setup onerous and difficult or more-or-less done for you by the unit? Now I've
figured out how it's meant to be wired I am going to connect the interrupt cable from the towbar socket which, in short, open circuits the power
supply when you connect the 7-pin plug from a trailer or caravan so the sensors don't bleep idiotically when you are reversing due to said
vans/trailers proximity to the car, but it would be nice to know that the 'setup' was correct on the first place.

Keep it simple just put a manual switch in the wire that powers the parking sensor ECU from the reverse lights.
Or you could just use an inline fuse holder and pull the fuse out when you are using the tow bar.
