I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!

I would say they're looking for the afterlife
I would assume that by the lack of photos showing the Corsa there ain't much of it left?

Going the wrong way down the exit slip, suicide attempt, shocking stupidity or utter ineptness appear to be the only explanations I can see.

I use that junction every workday and there are often accidents with people going the wrong way but they normally stop before the dual carriageway.
That is by far the worse one I've seen in my 5 years in Aberdeen.

Theres a local paper video of the aftermath.
Looks like the lorry drivers reaction saved the Corsa driver from a head on. Still looks nasty though.

On the bright side all the cement on the road would have soaked up the oil spills.

Is that bags of cement?
Must have been a bugger to clean up!

Yes it was bags of cement. What they didn't use to soak up the oil they used to fill in the pot holes.

I think its people half asleep not looking which way the road goes. The road splits and people see the openeing coming of the dual carriageway and
head for it. Picture may help.

^ as above, and when you look on streetview, theres not much in the way of no entry signs. theres 2 badly painted arrows on the road. no big no entry
signs, which i think should really be on any A road or motorway slip road, but of course theres no substitute for drivers paying attention

Not trying to defend these guys. As said above I use this junction every day and the last thing I want to meet is someone coming towards me head
on.
I fully agree there is no excuse. Theres plently of time to stop or get on to the verge as well.

I drive past that most days - as I go down to the bridge. Feck anyone could have been crushed under that lorry.

Agreed, it's the type of mistake that happens when there's no-one coming up the slip-road and bad signage so people aren't sure if
it's one or two lanes. Easily solved with a sign and/or 20ft of barrier.

My guess is that the corsa driver mistook the curve for a dual carriage way and was driving in the RH lane. The road split into two and before you
know it, you're heading the wrong way.

another lorry crashed at the same spot a couple of days ago, spun and hit the rock wall, crashes there happen quite a lot. It's a bad corner and
quite tight with plently of fuel spills and artic's seem prone to jack knife just to then drive straight into the rockface. I go at only 20mph
on the motorbike as there's no nice things to hit of if you come off.
