Quick Question

evening all,

just a quickie,

can i have an estimate on the sort of power a std 2.0 zetec would produce running 40mm webers with std cams, internals and fly.

150 - 155 bhp may get 165 set up on a rolling road

what power do you get from a stock zetec then? i was under the impression it was about 120 bhp. (not the ST engine)

if they are 120 bhp stock, is it not a little adventurous to see 30-40 brake from what is practically a bolt on upgrade with a set of twin 40's?

no idea about zetecs, so please excuse idiotic questions if posted

May be wrong but dont they make more like 130 bhp as standard, then if you fit a free flowing exhaust and a decent inlet system you "could" add another 20 to 30 bhp so 150 to 160 a possability. Thats as I see it. Cheers Ray

To make a car go faster, just add lightness. Colin Chapman - OR - fit a bigger engine. Chippy

Not quite your set up but mine made 139 bhp at the wheels with bike carbs and megajolt with 4-1 manifold. So this must be over 150bhp at flywheel.
