Blaupunkt Plugin Upgrades
I've got my first car, and along with it I managed to chief a blaupunkt stereo that came out of my dad's car to be replaced by a bargain
basement one with more features.
It has an ISO C connector on the back which I believe allows me to plug in a cd changer, and connect it to the remote control stalk.
I was looking at
these:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALFA-ROMEO-156-147-BLAUPUNKT-USB-SD-CARD-AUX-ADAPTER-CONNECTS-2-CTAARUSB001-/180899877065#ht_766wt_961 and I was
wondering if I could use this on this stereo, because I presume it mimics a cd changer. I know it says alfa in the name, but I can't believe
they would make a different one for different cars if the protocol was the same.
Any experience you can give of this connector would be greatly appreciated
Cheers
Pete

I could not guarantee this would work unless your unit come from the alfa models listed. Blaupunkt made loads of different units for different cars.
No guarantee they were the same.
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

Does your head unit have an AUX button? If it does it's usually very easy and you don't need any kind of interface to get your ipod to
work. You would just need an iso blue C3 plug and connect it to a 3.5 mm jack plug, you can find the pinouts if you search google.
Something like this
If you don't have an aux button you may need to get an interface unit Renault Scenic Laguna Twingo iPod adapter interface
iPhone car CTARNIPOD003.2 5v | eBay . I bought one the other day to work with my renault head unit. At first it worked but it wouldn't
charge and i couldn't skip tracks. Turns out because my ipod was 5 volt instead of 12 volt i needed an adapter which cost another tenner.
Works perfectly now and i'm very pleased with it.

Yeah it does have an auxilliary setting, which is why I assumed the thing I linked to would work, maybe I can find one cheaper so even if it
doesn't work I'll not have spent much.
