Spiyda.com

Just thought would give Chris at Spiyda.com a mention, have just received our VDO Dip tube fuel level sensor complete with flange and gasket and the fuel wizard box of tricks he does to calibrate, also had a box of trcks that will allow the fans to run on after switching off, hoping to adapt it to run an auxilary electric water pump.
Chris was helpful, communicated well and met all deadlines promised, even took the time to draw out a set of modified diagrams for me as this is being used with a Race Technology Dash 2 and needs a pull up resistor fitting (which he also suppled)

he's a top lad! i didn't need the 8 leds of the 8 led gauge, so I was after one of his 4 led gauges for pressure, temperature, level sensors, to use as a fuel gauge. he himself said would be ok for temperature or pressure gauges, and would work as a fuel gauge, but would react too quick to changes in level (fuel sloshing around the tank, and therefore be fine for race or hill climb cars, but not great for road cars, and said he was thinking about redesigning it

he then set about building me a special 4 led guage with the anti slosh circuit, which he now has listed on his site.
he redesigned it, and built it and delivered it well within the timescale he promised.

even supplied led for it, which i chose not to use, and use bigger clear ones, he even sent out some extra resistors as he thought my new LEDS would draw too much current from the unit very helpful guy!

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I have had a look on his site. This fuel dip tube fuel level thingy, is this to replace a float level sender type?

So thinking correctly, could i use one of these to rid my mechanical float and then use foam baffle to stop me getting fuel situation on long corners?
