Skoda Fabia "Monte Carlo" courtesy car
My tin top had to go to the main dealer today for diagnostics and the courtesy car was a Fabia "Monte Carlo"
I have to say I absolutely loved it
After years of trudging around in Passat estates and MPVs, it was like being 18 again and back in one of my old 205 GTIs. 1.6 TDI 115 BHP, with 0-60
is given at 12 secs, so not quick by any means, but as with most diesels, the in-gear pull was very good. The front seats were a total revelation
after the sofas in my Passat too. It handled really well and I have to admit to taking a very long route back to the dealer to pick up my Passat
If I didn't need the space I'd be heading for something like this straight away. Sadly the lass in the dealer looked nothing like the one
in the picture though

My current steed is its big brother - the vRS (1.4 twincharger, 180PS).
Have to say the Monte looks better...
Long live RWD...

I was looking at the Rapid a few days ago, that might be big enough for you (the boot is so big when I looked it I said "bloody hell
that's huge!" )
