I'd love to have a chance to drive a D-type Jaguar... I know that I'll never be able to afford to own one!

Excellent vid! There's a good onboard of Jim Clark at Oulton Park - which I cannot find on Youtube at the moment - which also shows trees in
close proximity! But Hawthorne blatting past the cyclists is on another level!!!

I got a really good look at the works entered D-Type that Martin Brundle and Bruno Sena drove in the 2014 Mille Miglia, man that car is gorgeous up
until then I had always thought the C -Type looked sexier as I had only seen Campbell MacLaren's XKSS (reg# JAG1) but that D-type out shone
all the hundreds of wonderful cars at the Mille Miglia. Jay Leno has a couple of very good videos on his Youtube channel on the XKSS on the Steve
McQueen car and other a perfect replica. He also has a great video on the Lola GT --
As for the last few years I am off again to the Mille Miglia again this year I will be near the time control point in Sirmione on day one 18th May
and hope to be at Brescia for the finish.
The Mille Miglia is a wonderful experience

Amazing video! Can't believe the surrounding countryside. It's a shame how corporate and expensive it has become for the fans.

Great video (though really it's a film). A lot of work has gone into fitting the camera and mic' rig. Interesting he mentions the crash
the previous year that some attribute the blame to Hawthorn

Superb video, thanks britishtrident, also what a great driver Mike Hawthorn was, such a shame he was killed some three years later.
