Tintop air con advice
Advice please, my daughter has a mk6 fiesta with a damaged aircon radiator. If the aircon is kept off would there be any damage if it runs out of
fluid? Just want to use the car for a few days until a new one can be got.

Won't be an issue short term. When the pressure sensor registers the pressure loss the system won't engage the pumps clutch and the pump
won't run.

As above no pressure, no work but the longer it’s left the more moisture gets in and the more corrosion you get.
I did my renault in the spring. New receiver, new drier. Removed all the pipe work and cleaned up the fittings and lubed the O rings with silicone
grease. Down the garage for a re-gas.
It helps clear the windows at this time of year as well.

Always worth replacing the air-con filter too. Done it many times on various VAG cars - cheap and easy to do and makes the air-con work better (once
repaired) as well. Filters are usually £5-10.
