I've just come over all un-necessary, think I need a lie down !
I guess the question is - does this have an official alfa romeo sanction (write up suggests they approve of it) so that if you drive it over to Italy
it is not likely to be crushed as being counterfeit goods.

Only problem for me is this would be a 50k project though, but would be a lovely thing to have in the garage. You couldn't possibly just buy
this and use a vx220 or Elise interior. Would need a whole new interior, possibly new engine and of course a vx220/Elise donor car.
That said, they're saving you 9.98 million Euros on an original LOL

My dream car, love the shape.
I'm not sure what I would use but a Elise or VX220 feels wrong. does any body have a picture of the original chassis?

Here you go. It was an oddball - two huge tubes, with a cast magnesium front bulkhead/scuttle structure. You certainly wouldn't want to
try to replicate it. First pic is upside down - you're looking at the floor of the chassis to the top.
That cast magnesium front bulkhead:
Actually, the Elise/VX220 chassis isn't a bad analogy of the original, given that it also uses two big aluminium spars down either side
as its main structural members.

My thoughts exactly! As the design rights have almost certainly expired a scan (of photos) and CAD session could produce a buck. 20k for a few bits of
GRP a windscreen and some plastic is mind-blowing.
Nice car but at 10% of that price I would think of making my own moulds.

Tbh the chassis they have used in the replica looks flimsy as hell especially the rear end. The chassis for the original wow that's very
innovative, very impressive.
