What is stupid? The fact that he drove off in a car that he had no visibility?
Or the fact that he stopped in the middle of the road to clean up the window?
If i was to crash on his car or run him over due to skidding who's fault would it be?
And all of that because he is stupid enough not to clean the windows.
By the way, there is parking space less than 400 yards away.
perhaps but how many times a year does this happen to you?
i can't say this has ever happened to me.

This really gets me, Its not snowed since saterday yet there are cars on the street with snow still on them that have deffinitly been out more than
once.
I've only seen it once but I have seen most of the snow on the roof of a car come down over the windscreen in a sheet at a traffic light, the
driver then got out and frantically started shovelling the snow of of his windscreen with his hands. I was turning right and he was going straight on
so I don't know what happened next as my light changed but he hadn't got very far when I set off.
The other thing is people out driving at 7 MPH, even on clear roads.

ah, yeah, thats the kind of thing that gets me. the kind of thing that you get all year round. the number of folk round my way that put the brakes on
when a car comes the opposite way.
but they turn one way at a junction, i go the other, problem solved. still doesn't ruin my week

The last few weeks have been causing real problems with this. The car will spende the whole time shifting gears at low speed and below 15, if it shift
into first it has to be stopped to put it in second (Or reved really hard to trick it).

Must get expensive if you have to buy a new shirt and pair of trousers everytime it happens...what do you do, keep a spare set in the boot?

is it an auto?
i had 1 auto car in my life. you could actually choose 2nd gear and it stayed there. it was an old car right enough, things have moved on
(doesn't sound like its for the better tho lol)

Yours - most laws are there to protect the lowest common demoninator from harm

Probably can't see it through the snow on his windows

The ones I've driven in recent history had an "ice/winter" button that basically deleted first gear...

Its a computor controled manual, an auto would be a problem as the torque converter stops your from spinning once you've got going and there is
always power to the wheels. I've been through all the info and there doesn't seem to be anyway to let the car know I'm driving on
ice. Its a shame because it is a good car in these conditions apart from that one factor.
The only thing that could be done would be to disable auto shifting in manual mode but that would void my warranty, and Isn't something I know
how to do.

i pushed someone out of the ice today, revving far too hard and all the way down the road sliding into the gutter as she went Thought it wouldnt be
long til she was stuck again...
Lots of people just dont know how to cope with snow or ice, and others are too stupid to make it easy for themselves.
I must confess i get pissed off with people all the time, but when people drive too slow i just pass them. If they arent confident going faster then
there's nothing that can be done.
But people who set off with their lights covered or all the windows still frosted up do annoy me because its so easy to do right. I just use my sleeve
whilst the engine is warming, only takes a moment.

Its worse when you get what I had monday, someone pulled out in front of me from a school, drove not much faster than walking speed, and pulled into a
drive way that was litrally less than a 10 minute walk away. I really don't get why you'd figure that its barely safe to drive then drive
to somewhere you could probably see from your front door.
Would you drive if you thought the weather conditions were beyond your driving ability? thats the real question.

Thats a good question. But i suspect most people either hope for the best, or dont realise they are not up to the job!
