On that note Hicost, I think it's fair to say that DC doesn't get the recognition he deserves for the hand he had in developing the Red
Bull car!

Not stricly true Scott, Mark Webber mentioned the above during an interview on the BBC Forum yesterday (and rightly so in my opinion, a shame he
isn't still there to reap the rewards of the current car).
With regards to the Schuey penalty. I really dislike the guy, but I don't agree with the penalty. If you look at the footage the Green light
is flashing around the circuit and a green Flag can be clearly seen being waved by a Marshall.
Surely that indicates the race is underway, otherwise we should be seeing Yellow flags?
A decision going the way of Ferrari? SURELY NOT!

Hmmm .... the way I understood it was that Schmacker got penalised because the safety car was out at the end of the race.....and the rules state that
where the safety car is out at the end of the race, no over-taking is allowed......
Schmacker did ... hence the penalty ......
Off to do a search......just in case I dreamt it ...

That's what one of the rules states. But what about the other rules such as a green flag indicating the race is under way. Which rule takes
precedence?

Don't know Tippy ..... I'm sitting on the fence on this one....
But......
If it's the end of the race ..... as per the linky dink.....the race can't be under-way .....the race was over .... that is, a safety car
finish ... yes, the safety car pulled off...but it had to, not because it was safe to race ..as per the rule book ...
It would have been a bit odd if the safety car driver took the chequered flag and got on the podium.....

It's deffo not straight forwards that's for sure.
I think it is a bit much to penalise him as they have, OK take the place off him, but to then rub salt in and send him back to 12th seems OTT.
I know the stewards only have certain penalties they can dish out. But it seems an injustice on this occasion.

I tend to agree but as I don't much care for scumi i look on it as Karma for parking it up during quali at Monaco a while back
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.
