I spoke to Matt today... think it might be easier for me to send the chassis back down the road for a refresh. Only problem is that I'm £400 down before I even start due to the fuel costs of two return trips to Brum with a Landy and trailer!

What's your thoughts on the 'D' shape option minus the straight edges Steve... similar to the Marlin that Mcmerd thought of? Would that design retain a reasonable amount of rigidity / protection? Doesn't have to meet any regulations... road use only.

it won't add as much rigidity to the chassis without the side rails - but it should still have a decent amount of strength in the rollcage itself

I'm liking the idea of the marlin style to with the side impact bars aswell (complete with the grip tape)

Guess you've been in to see Sid then!?

I'm having the lip milled off to square it off... going to gamble and run without the belt cover.

yeah I was round at his workshop earlier (not spending any money though, just helping him out with a couple of his little projects )
spied the redtop cam cover and though to myself "I bet thats scott's......"

He'd better just get two of them - just incase one isn't enough for him

Exactly what I was told by various 'experts' in various fields. As a result I spent years being pulled about by physios, doing all sorts of exercises religiously but all to no effect. 'Pain management is the only answer' I was told so I was given huge doses of super strong painkillers which I became addicted to and they really messed my head up. I was offered an epidural at one point and had hundreds of acupuncture sessions to relieve the pain. I couldn't work, drive or even function as a human being for two years! I was starting to look at wheelchairs as my only means of transport

Eventually I found a superb chiropractor who examined my MRI scans (3 ruptured discs, spondylosis and other stuff done in a paragliding accident) and set about correcting it over the next 3 months. He also advised me to lose some weight which helped enormously (2 stone) and some basic exercises to keep things on track.

As a result of my chiro, I am now able to work in a very physical job (telephone engineer now) and as long as I see him every month or so I am back to being human again.

Cheers,
Raz
