Weather report Please???

Hi Guys
Supposed to be driving from Essex up to Barnsley & back via Wisbech area today.
Roads were absolutely lethal last nite when I drove home around 11pm.
Anyone been out & about today already?
Are the main roads all clear? Any major delays known (I use A1 mainly except the loop out thro' Lincolnshire on return)
Ta!

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

Well, the northbound A12 is partially blocked south of Ipswich, and completely closed in the other direction.

I know it's not on your route, but it's an indication...

Very icy up here, black ice and had to drive though deep puddles with thick ice just to get onto the main roads. Actually stopped to check my mud flaps were still on the bluebird as thought the ice might rip them off

Do not consider that a bad thing.

It is quiet round here, about 4 inches, main roads are moving slowly. I suspect further East (Esses not Russia) it is a lot worse.

Use it as an excuse to watch daytime telly.

M1 OK Sheffield Chesterfield area, very cold, and lots of salty spray so get your washers defrosted, and filled up.

Looks like summer here, bright blue skys, temp around 27° humidity 20%, play underway..

Oops.. thats the cricket on SP1 atm

The sky looks the same outside the window as it does on the telly

-2° bright and clear. School over the road open, roads clear and flowing OK.

Thanx for the info guys.
Have decided to reschedule rather than risk what might become an epic trip!

Main roads are clear in North Yorkshire but dont bother with the country lanes! You'll either slide off or just get stuck!

I'm not looking forward to this....
I have to Do Bournemouth (320mile round trip) tomorrow, and Durham (450 mile RT) on Sunday.
Lads coming home for XMas.
I would make them catch the train, but they have to clear their Uni rooms for the holiday, as they are short term rented out over the holidays.

Its a shovel and tow rope job, and I am really missing my Land Rover when you see mornings like this.
