I thought it was pretty funny
UNDERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
OVERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
HORSEPOWER is how fast you hit the wall.
TORQUE is how far you take the wall with you.

Yep I love TG too and it's the only way I can justify in my head the license fee but that was just crap. Like a mixture of two past shows and
last episode's was just a copy too. Rubbish Gear!

I think how funny you find it depends on the company you watch it with.

Was good, but they should have shown us some more of the BMW art cars, I wanted to see the Warhol M1.
You can actually justify the lisense Fee?

There was a time when I wouldn't have dared to say anything detrimental about TG
on here for fear of being shot down in flames.
The last time I watched part of an episode they were in Dover harbour and IMHO it's
a pity they didn't sink without trace. Thankfully my TV has an off button.
I gather from posts on here though that opinions are changing?
At least the likes of Penny Mallory, Tiff Nedell, and even Mike Brewer, etc. etc. (speeling)
do know the difference between a Turbo and a Turbot.

I think the difference now is that you watch it absolutely knowing the whole time that the cockups are scripted.
Cockups are fine if they happen spontaneously.
Planned stupidity has to be well crafted. "we're going to pretend to crash a 6 series" doesn't really work for me.
Don't get me wrong, I'll continue to watch, but the track stuff or the bits where it genuinely goes wrong are what works best for me.
The overtly contrived stuff is now worn threadbare.
I'll continue to watch though. The noble bit was good as was the news.

I agree with Zilspeed, it's all so scripted and their 'cock-ups' are so damn predicatable and mostly cr*p.
I used to be a major fan but this season has certainly turned out to be somewhat of a let-down
Still, certainly beats most of the pants stuff on TV lately, so I don't watch much now anyhow. (more reason to be in the garage )
It looks like the Midget is winning at the moment......

Our TV only gets switched on about 4 times a week nowadays and I've been watching Quest on freeview as they have Mark Evans building stuff. I
don't like him but the machines aren't bad. I can't hack anything with Tiff Needell or Vicky, they love themselves enough not to
need me as well. I watch TG on iplayer when I've got nothing else to do for an hour and usually find something I appreciate in it.
We seem to have this same discussion every week now when someone puts the "TG on now" thread.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

TG is getting increasingly crap. I think they have run out of ideas and they need to call it a day.

They don't need to call it a day, they need fresh blood and to stop dicking about so much, TG comes across as so scripted that even the
intresting bits can't be believed.
What they really need is more consumer infomation.

What he said
I would keep all three presenters, but just lay off the contrived larking about. Just let them be themselves without enforced japes.
