Iridium IR Laser plugs vs Iridium IX

Guys

What is the difference between IR and IX NGK plugs if anything? They are for a RRV fireblade engine if that matters?

I ordered what I thought was IX plugs and was sent IR plugs!

Thanks

I bet they don’t live up to the expectation of actually firing lasers (which would be cool) instead of sparks

As I understand it, it is to do with the thickness of the electrode, laser is designed for ultimate performance, IX for longevity ---- really dosen't make much difference.
