Peugeot 306 rear wash/wipe fault

The rear wash/wipe has packed up on SWMBOs W reg Peugeot 306 HDI. 1st position on the stalk (wipe) makes the relay click, but no wiper action, 2nd position makes the relay click and the washer jet operates OK.

Can't see anything obvious like loose/corroded contacts...?

Any ideas?

are you looking at the connections/contacts in the boot lid behind the plastic cover as thats prone to water damage? if you are is power going in out to wiper motor?

Got the plastic trim off the tailgate and looking at the wiper motor/relay wiring.

Just removed the relay and popped the top off it. Looks like there may be some moisture damage on the PCB soldering.

I'll try replacing the relay first!

Also the wiring breaks in the rubber sleeve from the car to the boot lid.
