I'm stuck
Following your advise on my wobbly Civic (consensus seems to be it's suspension related) spent this morning out in the sleet checking it out.
Seriously flummoxed now.
Had both rearwheels off and checked all around the back suspension, nothing looks wrong at all, nothing obviously broken or worn excessively.
Onto the front, nearside wheel off, check, all looks OK. Onto the drivers side, wheel nuts off, car jacked up, wheel rotating freely but won't
come off, it just refuses to budge, what on earth could be causing that (and is it relatedto whatever the problem is.

Probably a daft suggestion but it's not something simple like bent wheel/defective tyre?

Alloy corroded onto spigot, if its not been off in a while
Drop the wheigt onto it whilst still on the jack and steer l to r should shift i
failing that undo the nuts by a couple of turns and then run it down your drive and back

Just been back out in the now heavy sleet/snow, won't budge but I've just noticed something else I'm having to jack the car up miles
just to get the wheel off the ground, virtually to the limit of my (normal sized) trolley jack , methinks somethings broken and not limiting the
travel of the wheel, of cause I can't get the b*gger off to see.

Just been back out in the now brilliant sunshine (but it's freezing, miles colder then it was at 10 this morning), still can't budge it,
I've even introduced it to a hammer, still no joy.

Have you checked the top upright mountings?
This could be done from the bonnet side instead of lifting the car.
Just a thought

Alloys sticking (corroding) to the hubs is a common problem. I put a smear of copper grease on my hub flanges annually to prevent this. RAC etc have
been known to break the wheels hitting them with a hammer to fix a puncture and still not get them off. Probably not related to your suspension
problems.
However, does sound like there is a serious problem if it takes more effort to jack different sides of the car up. Suggest not driving it until you
get to the bottom.
Are you a Mac user or a retard?

Locost 1 Civic 0
Reman's suggestion of loosen nuts a couple of turns and run it up the drive worked a treat.
Still can't see much wrong though

had an alloy stuck on my car once on the motorway.not being in the aa i got it off by booting every ounce of living sh*te out of it,in towards the car
rather than trying to hit it off,(can hit it harder that way)once the corrosion is cracked it'll fall off!make sure its solid on the jack tho

Er........good shout....hadn't thought of anything that simple, could be as simple as lost balance weights, could be what I heard hitting the
bottom of the car (and GMP suggested something similar earlier, could (possibly) have saved myself a frustrating day by listening to him)
