Any Fleet Managers on here?
Hi All
I have the overall responsibility in work for our fleet – we have a fleet manager etc but I’m just surprised at how manual a lot of the administrative
processes are around registering and taxing of vehicles! . It’s a little complex as some vehicles are exempt from MOT, taxation etc..
I’m trying to find a way of making things more streamlined! I know that car dealerships can print their own tax discs and I’d be very surprised if
some of the national companies with large fleets send somebody to the Post Office every month to tax cars or the local DVLA office to register
cars!
I’ve tried googling for any information on this but hit a dead end.
Anybody able to help?
Regards
Wyn

Fleet cars are a very complicated, and government regulated business.
Regulat maintainance can be computer based and, of course, so can the road tax.

there is a system called "Transman" we use it for administration our fleet. I don;t use it but it may be worth having a look online for
it.

we register and tax vehicle on site, using the dvla afrl system which is linked in through honda. This is only available on brand new vehicles inc
our fleet cars. Hoever all used or cherrish transfers all have to be done the old fashioned way by some one getting off their sorry arse and going to
the tax office or post office.
