200 bhp not bad for a 1588 cc engine that started life with 108bhp

but for 20 grand i would be looking for a very special engine

Its a fine example of "I spent loads restoring it, so it must be worth loads"

value is only as much as the buyer is willing to pay, how many of us have spents thousands on our cars when we know they are worth only a fraction of that. Sold my Austin a 1958 with full bare metal respray for £1500 engine mods, I did all the work so it didn't cost me much other than time. If I had take it to be restored it would have been circa 12k and at best worth £2500 to 90% of people there is always the 10% that will pay above the odds just to have it especially if there is nothing needed to be done

From a company that doesn't even have the imagination to come up with a better name than to rip of a certain toy retailer.

£6,500 my final offer.

Now withdrawn in case they get any funny ideas

Overpriced but a lovely car.

If disfunction is a function, then I must be some kind of genius.

And WHY the hell do they persist with open trumpets on the carbs. Just right to suck in all that nice fine grinding dust to hone the bores nice and quickly. At £20,000 for the engine alone, surely a nice period type air box and filter wouldnt have gone amiss.
