What's it worth

I'm seriously considering getting shot of the Sylva. At this stage, I'm very undecided, but of late have sufficient interests in the racing world that kind of take my interests away from it. I'll never be a driver (too slow) but am loving being involved, I'm not excited about the syla right now.

Anyway, here's where it's at.

Ripped the engine and box out - was a xflow.
Removed the Xflow mounts.
Removed all paint from the chassis in the engine bay and repainted it.
Made engine cradle.
Installed Kawasaki ZX10 engine.
Removed roll hoop.
Removed rear bodywork.
Removed paint from rear chassis.
Repainted rear chassis.
Reinstalled bodywork.
Reinstalled roll hoop.
Completely dismantled, refurbished and refitted the front suspension.

Basically, I have some wiring to tidy up and some finishing to the jobs above.

Apart from the bike engine, it is a basic spec car with no fancy bits.

What is it worth ? I have no clue whatsoever.

If it's relevant, it's on a 1974 'M' registration.
It's on 13" rims as in the pics.

Couple of pics for general reference.

No real idea on value, but out of interest, could the body be re-worked into a more traditional 7 look - i.e. cycle wings and standard rear tub/arches?

Any pics of the chassis?

You have a point.
Lawrence (RIP) made me promise I would finish it.

Do you need the space? Do you need the cash urgently? If not why sell it? Summer is just round the corner. Finish it and have some fun? Do you need a few work days with the boys round to help you along?

Don't deperately need the space.
It's worth an indeterminate amount of money, so I guess that's not it either.
I'll have a think - as I work.

Actually been doing a bit on it today.

I know, hard to believe.

Th zx10 isn't the newest or most popular of engine, and neither is the car - so straight away your reducing the number of people interested, and the less people interested, then generally the lower the price drops.

With the price of the IVA these days though, it has to be worth best part of a grand, just for the fact it is registered.

That is why I voted dont do it, I seriously doubt you will get what it is worth to you.

That said if you were leaving it to go to rack and ruin then better to sell it now so someone can get the benefit of it

Oh yes, I've seen that.
It hit my inbox today.
Thankfully it hit my inbox whilst I was wrestling with and beating a couple of jobs.
As a few people have said to me here and elswhere, the Sylva should stay as it is.
If I do sell it eventually, I will build something with its own identity from the ground up.
You don't have to look far for my inspiration.....
