Going over the edge.

Great racing clip here.

This is Colin Peach in his Sports 2000 Tiga in qualifying at Mallory Park last year.

The clip lasts about 10 minutes and you can tell that he's trucking. Nothing passes him and every corner gets taken just that wee bit faster every time.
They say that you only know where the limit is by stepping over it and then coming back from there a wee bit. I've heard many people saying that if you're not right on the ragged bleeding edge then there's no point in being out there.

Anyway, our man does just that.
And does indeed find that the limit was a metric baw hair slower than he's going right now.

The fact that you know from the outset that it ends in tears makes it all the more sphincter clenching.

And they say that a Pinto isn't worth having...

Mallory (and Gerrards) in particular is not a good place to learn the limits.. no run-off to speak of.
